Schade’s Wohlfühlhotel (translates to “Schade’s feel-good hotel”) is a cozy hotel & restaurant in Selb-Vielitz. The hotel is located in a great place, surrounded by green fields at the border of the Fichtel Mountains. The wonderful landscape and the excellent connection to the Autobahn A93 south of Hof make our hotel and restaurant an attractive place. As a family-run hotel and restaurant, it is very important to us that we treat our guests with personal hospitality. Those traveling alone are just as much welcome here as are groups and business travelers. In our restaurant, which you will find right next to the hotel, we serve sophisticated delicacies for friends of hearty regional cuisine.

In our restaurant, the “Schmankerl Stubn” (Bavarian for “place of delicious treats”), our family has been creating and serving authentic Bavarian specialties that have won several awards. We make locals and visitors happy with a knack for cooking, service and selecting excellent dishes. Our dishes are either served in our clean and nicely decorated restaurant or in our idyllic beer garden if the weather is nice. We take great care to ensure that our products are of the highest quality and we use fresh ingredients, such as the fish from our own farm. Bavarian beer specialties and Franconian wines round off the menu.

The “Wiesenfest” (meadow festival)
The traditional highlight of Selb’s year is always the second week of July. On Sunday, the traditional beer barrel tapping takes place and the festivities begin. The festival is known around the world for its beautiful festival ground. On Friday & Saturday from 5 PM, Sunday from 2 PM and Monday from 9 PM, the traditional early beer drinking with hearty dishes takes place.

Recommendations for Activities in the Area
You can directly reach the hiking trails of the Fichtel Mountain Nature Park from our hotel. Other great places to visit include the Lower Bavarian Spa Triangle in the Czech Republic, the Luisenburg Rock Labyrinth and the open-air stage. Spend your days riding your bike on the “Brücken-Radwanderweg” (bridges bike hiking trail) and visit the factory outlets of the local porcelain manufactories or the exhibitions in the Porzellanikon. The golf courts in Fahrenbach close to Tröstau and Gattendorf-Haidt are just a 30-minute drive from the hotel.
